This is a typical Hollywood vanity light that is almost in every standard bathroom. They are pretty ugly and cheap looking.
Stick around and I’ll show you how to get rid of it.
Hey guys welcome to daddicated, my name is Andy and this is part of bathroom remodel series. If you like this type of content hit that subscribe button and lets begin.
Step 1 – Turn off the Electricity
First before you do anything on electrical in your house, go into your garage or wherever your breaker is and cut the power off.
Make sure you test the switch and make sure there is no power coming to that light.
Step 2 – Remove light bulbs and metal rings
Next, unscrew all the light bulbs in the fixture.
Then there are these metal caps that you can just twist back and forth and they should come off. Take all of them of.
Once they are all off you should be able to take off the cover.
Step 3 – Remove the mounting plate
The mounting plate is held by two screws. Take a screwdriver and remove those screws
Remove the wire nuts that are connecting the fixture with your wall wires.
Then pry the backplate off and use a screw driver if necessary. You should be able to lift up the plate and remove it completelty.
Step 5 – Touch Up the wall
Us a putty knife or a blade to scrape of uneven surfaces and fill in the mounting holes with some putty.
Touch up the wall with paint or if you are repainting use new paint before install new fixture.
Step 6 – Install new light fixture
Then fall the instructions on installation of your new light fixture and you are set.

Final Thoughts
